And speaking of pine trees....

The pine in front of our house here in Ajigasawa is gone, too, victim of a removal order from the power company. I told the story in a previous post. Here is a picture of what is left of our tree- no cuttings, but some cut-up firewood.
There is a little tree growing alogside the stump, though.
