Jimoto no Gaijin

Who am I? Since 1985,a resident of Ajigasawa, a small town on the west coast of Honshu, Japan- yes, way up there near the top, in Aomori Prefecture. Problem? I've got the wrong face (Canadian Celt). People still give a start when they round the supermarket aisle and see me. So, who am I? Jimoto no Gaijin- the local foreigner.

Curiosity- maybe that's why I like cats?

Whoa- no post since April?

Where have I been? On "home assignment". That is, in North America visting and reporting on our work here in Japan.
Do you know how few of the friends we stayed with have a high-speed internet connection?
Well, I COULD have worked harder at posting something- but I didn't.

Memorial Day in Eastford, CT

So, here's a picture to prove I really WAS there, and a promise to go active again on this site. If anyone is still out there...

Unlike Hans and John, I don't use live bookmarks so it was only by chance that I stumbled into your first post since April. Looking forward to those to follow!

Thank you for your remarks. It is encouraging to know you haven't given up on me.
My second-letter of the alphaet key has died, as you can see. Annoying, ut I get y y copying and pasting. Can't let a little thing like that stop you!
