It Never Rains...
...but it pours.
Today was the big day- announcement time for my biopsy. It was non-cancerous, but is of a variety that tends to grow back, so I will have to keep going in for checkups. That's not all good, but better-than-it-might-have-been news!
Then I went to the camp near Aomori for work day. I was late, and we stopped early because of torrential rain, so I really didn't get to do much. On the way home, I got a call informing me that a former church member's father had died, and she was on her way to town for the funeral. I walked in the door expecting to leave soon to see her, and found 2 guests- another church member, with her husband, who was in hospital with me ((bladder, in his case), and got a report very similar to mine today. The other guest was a friend, an English teacher, telling us he was diagnosed with a serious emotional condition, and is going home in a couple of weeks, instead of July. Laurie and Mary headed out for their student meeting, I went to see the young woman whose father had died, then stopped in out local hospital to check on yet another member, whose father has suffered a serious stroke recently. We had a pretty calm spell there for awhile, but it appears to be over for the time being.
"As thy days, so shall thy strength be" (Deuteronomy 33:25). Thank You, Lord.
